After over an hour car ride to the airport, a 14 hour flight from Korea to Chicago, one night with my parents and then, a six hour train ride to Michigan, a special someone gave me the most heart-warming gift.
My niece, a princess and an artist, did such a great job!
Spending time with family <3 was the perfect way to end my J-term break.
I'm a health communication graduate student who is starting my last year of graduate studies overseas. I am studying abroad while interning with Preemptive Love Coalition, an organization that is performing life-saving heart surgeries and focused on peacemaking in Iraq. PLC is about providing for the need. They work to coordinate heart surgery-training for the purpose of treating children with Congenital Heart Disorder (CHD). CHD is one of the leading causes of death among Iraqi children, and I’m impressed that this organization is willing to go where not many other organizations want to go in order to provide quality help, assist in redeveloping the healthcare system there and promote peace.
I love this. They’re serving in awesome ways, and I’m honored that they are willing to work with me.
Thanks for visiting my site and learning a bit about my experience here. I'm excited, and look forward to sharing more updates with you!
